My scientific interest lies within numerical modelling of astrophysical systems, where my particular focus is on:

• Modelling of astrophysical plasmas via (magneto-) hydrodynamical simulations
• Modelling of cosmic ray transport via the numerical integration of the corresponding transport equation

For both these fields I am mainly working with numerical codes, where I am the main developer. Most simulations of astrophysical plasmas are done with the Cronos code, while cosmic ray transport is modelled with the recently introduced Picard code. Both codes are described at some length on this website, where corresponding references can be found under Publications.
