In general I offer topics on numerical astro(-particle) physics (either development of numerical methods or application of numerical codes)

Topic 1: Investigation of a semi-Lagrangian solver for cosmic ray acceleration
Implementation of a conservative semi-Lagrangian solver for the energy-dependence of the cosmic ray transport equation. Possible application: acceleration of cosmic rays in colliding wind binary systems.

Topic 2: Galactic cosmic ray propagation modelling
The Picard code developed here in Innsbruck offers unique possibilties for Galactic cosmic ray propagation studies. Via high-resolution 3D models various aspects of cosmic ray propagation can be investigated with unprecedented detail in multiple channels.
