  • Astroparticle physics:

    Production, interaction, acceleration, and propagation of Cosmic Ray particles yielding
    detectable signatures in the gamma-ray and non-photon messenger channels

    Diffuse galactic gamma-ray emission in our Galaxy and other astrophysical environments,
    and the guaranteed as well as hypothezied constituents of the extragalactic gamma-ray background

  • Gamma-ray astrophysics:

    New gamma-ray sources awaiting their discovery or confirmation by the
    present and future space and ground based instrumentation, and strategies for
    identifcation of new sources:
  • galaxy clusters ?
  • gamma-ray binaries
  • starforming regions, starburst galaxies
  • colliding wind binary systems
  • local group galaxies beyond the LMC, SMC, and M31?
  • pulsar wind nebulae and supernova remnants up to PeVs?
  • population studies and synthesis of gamma-ray source classes, logN-logS
  • analysis and catalog biases
